Vlogging Response #1

My first experience vlogging was a confusing one. I was under the impression that there needed to be HOURS of work and planning to get a YouTube worthy video. But my first video, I simply took videos of my trip to Salem, Mass with some family. There was no planning or specific shots I needed to get. Let me tell you, I took WAY to many “walking videos” where there is no action or specific people in it just my point of view of walking down the street. But wanted to give vlogging a try so I just pulled out my recent christmas gift, a GoPro Hero 7 Silver and filmed what I thought people would want to watch.

For two days I sat at my computer learning all the in and outs of IMovie, thinking it was the only way to edit film. Until I cam across an article talking about the bonuses of “Quick” it is GoPros eiding app. I decided to give it a try and as soon as I picked the videos I wanted to be added it built the video for me. I was so spruised, I thought I had days of editing in front of me, but Go Pros software made it so easy. With a foundation to go from it made creating a YouTube worthy video much easier. In this software you are able to edit the effects Quick automatically did in order to make it fit your video perfectly. It makes filming and editing fun.

I have plans for the next set of videos and I can already see the difference in the quality of content when there is planning and structure for necessary shots. This is really quite an interesting hobby many have made in to careers. Next Wednesday next video will be live at 10:30AM!

And for those who haven’t seen my first video can watch it here.
